Description

The goal of the Rangers next season should be to make the playoffs, and then see how far they can get in order to acquire some playoff experience for their younger players. I don’t believe they need any major acquisitions in order to achieve this goal, and I think that any big trades will damage the future of the team cap wise when the young guys need bigger contracts. The only big trade that would be beneficial is an eichel trade because not many elite players of his age make the trade marker, but thats not what this acgm is about. The only way I would want the Rangers to add to their roster is by signing depth players in free agency. I don’t think any core or supporting cast players need to be added to this roster in order for it to make a cup run in the next 5 years. You just need patience.

I don’t think NY wants to take another player who is a villain In the media’s eyes. Even if the allegations are false, they will still follow him around for the rest of his career. Without those though, I completely agree

I think the biggest issue with the Deangelo situation was a lack of leadership in the locker room. You have the right culture, and these players exceed their capabilities. No leadership, and it’s a mess.
