Overrated? The guy scores at a first line level, is average defensively (and improving) and is treated like a 3rd liner by fans.

Jones is way more overrated, I wouldn’t give up monahan for him. Jones isn’t even a top 4 defensmen

Seth Jones is a top 10 dman in the league. He is levels above every other dman on CGY. And he’s way more effective/valuable to this roster than Monahan.

CGY should for sure be exploring this trade option if Jones is willing to extend.
