Detroit will get a great player at 6. Honestly I thought maybe they’d draft askarov last year, so them picking Wallstedt at 6 wouldn’t shock me at all. IMO it’s Wallstedt or Eklund.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they picked Wallstedt. This whole draft is a crap shoot. There’s no indication to where teams see the players. One team might have one guy at 4, the others might have him at 22. It’s wild. I can’t wait for draft day. Even if the Jets lose against MTL, they’d get the 17th pick, they could end up with lambos there. Like it’s just wild how wide open this draft is. There could be a guy picked at 25 that’s the best in the entire class due to lack of drafting.

I think Wallstedt is the biggest need though Edvinsson and Eklund will be hard to pass if they available.

Signing Hyman as a UFA is highly intriguing to me for some reason. Even if I don't think he puts this roster in the playoff picture.

As for what to do with the 6th overall pick, if past history with Stevie has taught us anything, expect the unexpected.

Yeah that would work and they also have the capacity to make that trade. The tough part would be executing that because from what I've heard Cossa could surprise a lot and go higher than anticipated.

Maybe but like has been said here. This years draft boards are going to be so different from team to team that trades are gonna be very skewed.

'I've seen a couple of STL ACGMs that have Dunn coming to Detroit for Washington's 2021 1st. If that could really happen Detroit takes Wallstedt at #6 and then trades for Dunn that a goalie and an LHD.

I think it makes sense to draft based off of need. Eklund doesn't make sense. Raymond and Berggren are similar players. Draft Hughes or Edvinsson if they are there, if not grab Wallstedt or trade back a few spots for Johnson, McTavish.
