Wings accept.

Glendening is not signing for less, can see him resigning with Wings for at least 2 million for 2 years

Detroit will take that. Even a retained Kassian would net us something making Lavoie pure gravy

Yeppp definitely like the Kassian trade. He'd be a good retained flip at the TDL and I agree you'd have to give Glendening around 2.5 for 2 years to entice him to leave his hometown beloved hockey team I believe.

Oilers decline the Kassian trade, Lavoie is to big of a piece to give up, yes Kassian is over payed but still provides this team with a element that is needed.
Pass on Tatar the guy has shown major decline and has been a healthy scratch down the stretch and in the playoffs he’s well past his prime giving him a 4 yr deal will result in another buyout something this team can’t afford to keep doing.

maybe 4 years might be a little too many for tatar, but i wouldn’t be worried if he is going to be playing w mcd/drai every night. his linemates in mtl are nothing compared to edm and i’m sure he will have a 55-60 point year. kassian has 3 years left and that contract does not look good. need him out.

We don’t need guys that can put up points because they play with McDavid or Draisaitl we need wingers that can create offence and finish on their own we already have too many passengers we need more drives, Tatar would just be another passenger leaving McDavid and Draisaitl to have to continue to do it on their own.
Yes Kassian is over payed but provides a element that this team needs and no one else brings a combination of, force, speed and skill.

I dunno what these other wings fans are talking about but 3 more years of an overpaid, worthless player gonna cost Oilers a lot more than a B prospect

go look at his point totals over the past few years on a montreal team with not a lot of offenses options. they’re good aren’t they. yes he may have been unmotivated a little this year, but he’s a point producer without a guy like mcd and drai but w them he’s gonna be a stud

i mean a down year this year, but he almost scored at a 20 goal pace a year ago. wouldn’t call him worthless

Strongly disagree and you won’t find a Montreal fan that agrees with you, the word you’re looking for is decline not unmotivated, he’s not scratched in the playoffs because he’s unmotivated it’s because the habs have a better chance to win without him in the lineup sure sounds like a guy we should run out and sign, don’t need to look at point totally’s the eye test tells you everything you need to know and he’s on the wrong side of 30. Look at Neal’s goal totals from last yr would you run out and give him a 4 yr 4.6 mil deal solely based of his goal totals from last yr?

He isn't worth it because Detroit don't have a roster spot for him. Detroit don't need wingers! They already have Bertuzzi, Vrána, Fabbri, Zadina that are all better, they also have a bunch of bottom-6 wingers as well as prospects that needs roster spots. Holland would have to pay a lot more to get rid of him if he's talking to Yzerman.

in the last 3 years he is 50th in 5v5 pts. that’s what the team is missing and why nuge isn’t a good option to bring back. his goals for and expected goals for are a lot higher than a lot of other options on the open market for that price. idk how one down year at 30 after a ppg season is a start of a scary decline. sure maybe 4 years is too long, but 2-3 years for a guy who’s gar over the past 3 years has been good is exactly what we need.

detroit is in the bottom of the league for a reason. u can’t genuinely say that kassian wouldn’t be a 3rd line option on the wings. you may have a lot of bottom 6 players, but he is right at the top of the list. the team doesn’t necessarily have to be the wings, but lavoie is a good sweetener for a lot of teams.

Yes I can genuily say that. Detroit have an abundance of wingers, both top-4, bottom-4 and prospects. There is no room on the roster for any more. Look at the roster Detroit has, on the LW there is Bertuzzi, Vrána, Fabbri, Svechnikov, Smith, Hirose, Raymond, on the RW there's Zadina, Namestnikov, Pánik, Berggren.

Lavoi is of no use to Detroit, LW is the only position the team is absolutely stacked on. Detrot needs centres not wingers!

Detroit already have Pánik who is signed for three more years and is comparable to Kassian. Why would they want another one on an equally bad contract.

Kassian might be of use to some other team but if Detroit were to get him they would have to buy out someone else and that makes it pointless unless they get a handsome reward for taking him on. You'd need to add a 1st round pick for this to make sense for Detroit.

Detroit is in the bottom of the league becase they lack centres and defense, especially LD, not because they lack wingers!

One of the biggest issues I see with this arm-chair gm, as well as many others, is you haven't looked past next season. You will only have a few extra million to resign Mcleod, Puljujarvi, Nurse, Bear, and a back up goaltender.

roughly around 13 million for next year, should be enough to get nurse signed plus bear, jesse, and mcleod on bridge deals. if they need more money, they don’t have to sign ian cole.
