D wasn't even the problem. The D core is fine. I don't know what was wrong but the D wasn't even it.

Big 4 need to be broken up, overpaid guys is what's hurting them. They need a better power forward and a better third line

Don't want to hear the power forward tom wilson lecture because it's a crock of ****, and the depth was good. there was nothing wrong with it. When they break up the core 4 (marner) they'll be throwing away a top 5 point scoring 23 year old in his prime. Is this impulsive decision worth that considering the injuries they faced? I don't know. Not saying it's wrong but I don't know if it's smart.

Or just wait a year and buy Seth Jones in free agency. Big overpay for him IMO. Seth Jones has made it public that he wants out of Columbus like almost every player in that organization.

This core wont win, they are not built for playoffs
