Columbus can't trade Jones and Laine without getting a high end center back

Neither Toronto nor Columbus are making this trade period. On top of that no team is signing Laine to a 7.5m a year after the past two years he has had. He bet on himself and lost...he will need to take a deal between 4-6m x 2yrs depending on the idiot gm who extends him. My guess is Laine signs for around 5m x 2yrs or something like 6x6m (Ehler comparable right) I doubt he even gets that.
