All of the trades and ufa signings are based in fantasy and the Holtby and Erikkson contracts can't just dissappear. So this is just an excersize in futility

It's not a fair illustration, though, because by not coming up with reasonable trades, you end up keeping folks on the roster that would otherwise not be there.

I think this team would definitely be competitive to win the West. Still think they would have a tough time when they run into the juggernaut that is the Colorado Avalanche. But outside of Colorado I think you could argue this is as good as any other team in the west. Biggest concern would be the lack of size and grit on forward. Hopkins and Reinhart would both add a lot of skill to the team but Miller and hopefully podkolzin are the only ones that add a bit of nastiness that will be needed in the playoffs.

What's the point of that??
