Description
First thing I want to get out of the way is that this is not what I WANT to happen this is what I think COULD happen.

RFAs: If it wasn't for Hart's very disappointing season this contract would probably be 6-8 years but with the disappointing season I'm 99% sure he will sign a 2 year deal in the 2 million to 2.5 million dollar range.
With Sanheim I think the flyers go 2-3 years and it will probably be 3. He will probably want a raise but not by much because he doesn't deserve much of a raise so I see it being between 3.5 million and 4 million.
Nolan Patrick is weird because I can see three different things happen 1 being he resigns with the Flyers on a 1 year deal around 1 million dollars 2 Being the Flyers leave him unprotected in the expansion draft and the Kraken take a shot on his upside and 3 being what I think is the most likely to happen is he gets traded for a mid round pick (2nd, 3rd) to a team in need of a 3rd line center. Personally I do not want to see Patrick leave, I think the potential is still there he just needs the ice time to prove it, and I think trading a high upside player for a mid round pick is stupid.
And with Bunnanman Twarynski I assume they stay and I think they will get similar cheap 2-way contracts to be depth roster pieces

EXPANSION DRAFT
The Flyers expansion draft is interesting because I could see a few players get taken. First off JVR he probably is the favorite to be taken by the Kraken especially now coming off the season he just had. His cap hit is very high at 7 million but he only has 2 years left going in to next season so I find it very likely he does get taken by Seattle as he could be a huge piece in Seattle's top 6 right away.
Next is Aube-Kubel who I think is the 2nd most likely player to be chosen by Seattle. If Seattle isn't willing to take on JVR's cap hit and Nolan Patrick is protected I strongly believe that NAK will be a Kraken.
Next is Nolan Patrick who will most likely be protected, but if he isn't Seattle will probably take a chance on him. I think that this is the best case scenario for the Kraken because I believe Patrick would thrive being in a bigger role.
Lastly is Ghost who has a very low chance to be picked by Seattle considering his contract but is still an interesting name to throw out there considering theres like a 99% chance he's unprotected. I think if Ghost had less term on his contract he would have a high chance to be picked but he still has 3 years remaining so it probably won't happen.
Finally what I see happening is JVR does get taken as Seattle is looking for a instant impact player who can be a huge part of the teams top 6 year 1.

Now I'm going to be talking about trades and free agency signings.
First off I don't think the Flyers should go out and sign everyone just because they would help. They need to be smart with the moves they make considering all the big contracts next offseason like Couturier, Giroux, Farabee etc. I think the Flyers should take chances on low risk high reward players and take advantage of teams in cap hell that need to shed cap.
I think good players to target are RD Erik Cernak from the Lightning, G Jonathan Bernier in free agency, FWD Tyler Ennis from free agency, LW Blake Coleman from free agency.
I also think Ghost will be traded somewhere and I think Florida could be interested
I think Patrick gets traded to a team in need of a 3rd line C or a rebuilding team that wants a high upside player.

Let me know what you think of the moves I made!

Fair but if that is the case then wouldn’t they want someone to take on cap? Idk I just think a trade is unlikely

Teams that are in cap hell and have to trade good players never get as good of a return as they are worth because the teams trading for them have the advantage over them.

That Gostisbehere trade makes no sense for FLA they have the exact same player already in Yandle

Both Florida teams say no. Tampa has several players with value that they can move before Cernak. Palat and Killorn are very much movable. Gourde got his offensive groove back and is movable. Just looking at defense I feel like they might even move Chev before Cernak. The left side without Chev is still Hedman and McD. The right side without Cernak is Ruuta and a young Foote who isn’t getting playoff experience since they added Savard as a rental. And if they do decide to move Cernak the demand for a quality RHD will get them a more useful package than that even tho they are in cap trouble

Palat gourde killorn all have very positive value, and Cernak is way too valuable.. No chance they can afford to trade their best player at their weakest position on a club friendly contract.. it's just completely nonsensical

Pass from Detroit. Too many risks with Patrick to make it worth the picks.
Also, Ghost cleared waivers this year. No team is trading anything valuable for him.

The Bernier signings is unlikely - he has stated he wants to stay in Detroit, and Detroit's cap would allow them to beat that offer from Philly if need be.
Second, im not convinced by the Patrick trade as a Detroit fan, more because I think it would be more likely to see a trade like the Robby Fabbri deal, where two players who didnt fit in with their franchise were swapped. So I would be looking at a guy like Yevgeny Svechnikov. He was solid when up, but for some reason Blash didn't give the minutes and the linemates he earned - perhaps a 3W on Philly. So Patrick for Svechnikov as the basis for the trade rather than picks.

It's a 3rd and a 4th round pick lmao... There is barely any way it can go wrong for Detroit here

I would still add a pick in a Patrick for svech trade. Patrick has a higher ceiling, a higher floor and is better now.

Remember the Islanders offseason last year? Because if you didn't well ill tell you they needed cap to sign Barzal and Pulock so they traded Devon Toews who is a borderline top 10 d-man in the league. The return the Islanders got was two 2nd round picks for a border line top 10 d-man when Toews is worth a lot more. So basically my point is that every GM knows when teams are in cap hell and have to trade certain players and knowing that they can get a bargain of a trade because the team basically has to trade the player. And also Cernak is worth less than Toews and I offered less than what got Toews

Both picks have a higher chance of being an impact player than Patrick does at this point. He's missed too much development time and his migraine issues are extremely concerning.
