So 24 points in 29 games while playing exceptional defence "isn't built for playoff hockey"? Seems pretty good to me.

Thanks for yet again another troll post. RNH at 8 Million is a good laugh as well. I do think that Marner is currently battling an injury by the way he is shooting the puck. Something is not quite right. Hopefully he gets some rest after tonight.

@Penguins_Legend_Sheary back at it again with an absolute joke of an ACGM. I genuinely think you are the worst user on this website by a mile. Never seen one person be wrong about absolutely everything. And then after all of that, you literally picked the most cap strapped team in the entire league to be the ones to sign him. You are such a loser and I feel a great sense of shame calling myself a leafs fan knowing that you do too

Just FYI, I'd watch that comment. It's not that I agree or disagree with you on it, but you're likely to get an infraction point for it

Here is the thing. He has been very noticeable, price just keeps robbing him. But heres the thing. Matthews and Matthews have been contributing away from the score sheet and that's not a bad thing. This team is deep enough to where they are getting goals from other players across the other 3 lines including their blue line.

nah hes just getting robbed by price. But thats not a bad thing as all of his chances have been highly dangerous. It shows hes really pushing. Not concerned as Marner really is more of a playmaker than a goal scorer. Just feed matthews, Nylander or whoever the puck and it will go in the back of the net

You're probably right. Price has been outstanding.

How many times have us leaf fans said we need to roll 4 lines. We are finally in that situation. Love our depth.

Marner has been great on the PK but I swear to god he overthinks a bunch of his offensive zone plays. He'd have a couple of goals if his shooting instincts were more refined.

Also think he needs to be on the second powerplay to balance it out and give him a bit more priority on a unit.

RNH led the playoffs in iXG/60 last season. Even though his team got bounced by WPG, he was able to cut past the defence & generate chances by himself. I’ve been much more impressed with him than Marner.

His defensive results are boosted from playing alongside matthews & Hyman. He does a lot of puck watching & just stands around in the d-zone.

I feel a contract termination would be the best case scenario for both TOR & Marner. Gives him a chance to start fresh while TOR gets rid of the entirety of that cap hit.

The frustrating part is he doesn’t offer anything when he doesn’t have the puck at 5v5. So when he is struggling like he is now he becomes a liability.

He’s sixth on TOR in iXG/60. That’s not necessarily generating a ton of dangerous chances .

Also he needs to get taken off the top line. He is playing scared & always defers to AM when he gets the puck. I would play him against easier competition to try and see if he can build any confidence in using his own skillset.

Lol... tell me you know nothing about this hockey without telling me you don't know anything about hockey.. you just did that pretty well 😂

If his defensive results are "boosted from playing alongside Matthews & Hyman" then explain why he plays PK alongside Spezza and usually Mikheyev or Kerfoot?

If you actually watched a game (I can tell by you're "he does a lot puck watching & just stands around comment" that you clearly don't watch Toronto at all), you'd see that your statement couldn't be further from the truth. Watch him on the PK. He's frequently if not always the guy attacking the puck on both sides and using a quick stick to force turnovers and kill more time off the PP. He'll then attack offensively on the PK to kill even more time before getting off. He's the best PK forward on the team and you trash him after not watching any games 😂
