See how much "winning" Gaudreau and Tkachuk have done in their NHL career. A lot better options than taking on cap and giving away futures than thinking Gaudreau and Tkachyuk will lead you to the promise land.

Gaudreau would be awful on NYI, but Tkachuk would be the perfect answer to Wilson. Man, those two would go at it hard.

That being said, I'd only give up draft picks. I'm not giving up Wahlstrom or Dobson. If it takes one of them to get Tkachuk, then pass.

I completely get that, but we're in a cap crunch and Wahlstrom and Dobson are:

1) On their ELCs
2) Promising young players with bright futures

I just would rather keep them than get Tkachuk, but it's hard to gauge how much Tkachuk would get. He's so godo.

The North division was definitely not the easiest. Calgary underachieved and will make the playoffs next year fairly easily
