I don't think either trade happens, to be honest.

Its not a prediction. Just an idea.
Minny might lose Dumba in expansion. Might be better to trade him.
Chicago i dunno. They seem pretty low on Strome right now.

going to be a bit more for Strome is my guess. Probably a 2nd and 3rd at the lowest. Broberg would be interesting

I think a 2nd + Lavoie might do it, or adding in Koskinen/Neal and adding more might make more sense.

Wild easily decline. They aren’t losing dumba to Seattle for nothing. Plus the value is horrible. Dumba is worth more than that himself and hartman could probably get a 1st on his own the way he plays and his contract are super desirable to any team.

Fair enough. How are the Wild going to protect Dumba?
Don't think Hartman gets a 1st. Thats a major reach

The best writer indicates that Guerin has been having discussions with Seattle and they have more interest in soucy due to being larger, less of a defensive liability and a much cheaper cap hit. Personally I’d prefer they go 8-1 and let Seattle take greenway. Greenway will be great, but I prefer their team makeup with speedy skilled wingers and he’s more of a size/rhino type player. Rushing in the middle no finesse

Also on hartman - certainly might be a reach to say he gets a 1st on his own - totally situational. He’s shown he can play responsibly and hard up and down the lineup and has seemlessly transitioned to playing center better than wing and still has a scorers touch, most people lose that moving to center. It’s a weird situation, but for a team that needs a hard nosed gritty player who can play a reasonable 2C or good 3C and not be out of place with scorers on his line for 1.7m - it’s a really good contract/player.

Hartman is the killer for me in the trade. He's not worth a 1st. He's a nice to have bottom-6er, that can chip in 20-30p, and on a fair deal. MN also needs to have at least 1 RHS FWD, right?

Make it Dumba + 3rd for Bear + 1st and I'd think about it from MN's PoV. Save 4m in cap and gain a 1st. A Cole (re-signed) /Bear 3rd pair wouldn't be bad. Menell or Addison plays with Brodin.

Greenway has more finesse than you give him credit for. He didn't luck into his assists this year. His size and play opened up the ice to give JEE all those goals for 6in away from the blue paint. He also got the puck to him in those tight spots. He did the same thing last year with JEE and either Kunin or Foligno on the other with last year.

True story but he also can’t seem to stick handle to save his life and either gives up the puck just from losing it or someone comes and picks his pocket easily. He’s great when driving to the net and taking a shot but the hands kill me. I can’t remember which ot loss it was this year but he got a puck on the half wall in the offensive zone and coughed it up without much pressure at all. Turned into a breakaway and gwg. He flubs picks too often cause he can’t control it.

He prevented a breakaway just before that when Stone picked off the pass from Kaprizov. Greenway lost the puck that he never really had control of. But it bought Spurgeon (off the bench on a change?) enough time to misplay the 2-1. Instead of it being a straight breakaway and possibly a 2-0. Look at the whole sequence for that Mar 1st game.

You'll see Spurgeon and Zucc have that same thing happen almost every game at some point when they have the puck. Walz and LaPanta, in their infinite wisdom sarcasm , calls it just rolling off their sticks.

I’m surprised you remember exactly which game it was. I just remember seeing him on the ice during ot and being confused by it.

MN only had like 5 OT losses. I just went through them and looked at the video of the GW goals.
