So buy him out . Buy him and Holtby out who cares just get them off the books

I agree with that thinking but there are going to be other teams looking to do the same to TB . I say at least 5 teams ask about Foote and Johnson who still is a good third line player.

No VAN can't go beyond $1.439m, that would require their 3rd pick as compensation, which has already been traded. It comes down to whether Foote wants to be an underpaid guy for most of his career on a powerhouse team like TBL, or whether he wants the chance to be a top pairing Dman on an upcoming team
