As good as Tkachuk and Gaudreau are, wingers are so much easier to find than franchise centres. With 5 years remaining, you are talking about the 1st elite C the Flames have had since Nieuwendyk and Eichel also has a legit chance to be one of the best players in Flames history. Do what it takes to get him. You win with elite talent in this league and the Flames don't have it right now

I disagree with @Oilers4Days -- I think that this is a GREAT idea. For both teams. Really nice vision and insight. This is one of the few scenarios in which I can see the Flames trading Tkachuk.

Just as a yardstick so you all can judge where I'm coming from, I'd rather have Tkachuk on one of my two crummy local teams than any player other than Anze Kopitar or John Gibson.

Call me crazy but if im Buffalo i would rather have Lindholm ... hes able to play wing and center. i think hes easily the better player out of the 2 of them

in an Eichel trade? seems like the player that makes the most sense to be traded....MT is cool in theory but hardly helps the Sabres as far as needs

And Lindholm does? Hes going on 27.
