if he goes back to 50 points per 80 GP, Drouin's cap hit is reasonable.
in 2019-20, if you combine reg and playoffs, he had 22 pts in 37 GP, which is close to 50 pts pace in 80GP... so before this season Drouin had 4 consecutive years of around 50 points. Unless you sign UFA Ovie, there are not many coming UFA players with that track record. Well, none that will sign for under $6M per.
