I'm probably biased on this but I don't buy this "worst run franchise" storyline that's started up.

Just last offseason is was a popular destination for players. One bad season, in a pandemic, with an insanely compressed schedule should not be the building block to all of sudden jump on this franchise. Its still a young team with cornerstone players at FWD, Defense and Goalie.

How would he fit with Hughes? Can he play RD or can Quinn go to RD? If not I probably wouldn’t do the deal

I think QH could play right D no problem but I like the idea of a Schmidt/Hughes top pairing more. Lindell I think would be better with mysie to help make up for myer’s D-zone deficiencies

I think Hughes needs a partner like Tanev who can be defensive and cover for his weaknesses. I believe Lindell could do that

His NMC will kick in this offseason. He won’t have it at the draft.
