Can't understand the point in moving important futures for assets who aren't going to make necessary difference.

I can't see any team who has players like Barabanov and Balcers as their top-6 wingers compete for playoff spots, even if they have performed admirably in SJ this year. I just don't see them keeping it up.

Pesce will not be available. He is the only RHD under contract for more than a year.

But this is about the value I would expect if the Canes were forced to trade him

Everything else aside, they've already stated that Bordeleau is going back to Michigan next season.

I think they take this deal with the condition that they resign both Hamilton at his market value price of about 9.5mil a yr, and Hakanpaa too.

Like I said this deal would be good if we were in a rebuild or a retool. Pesce for future makes us worse in almost every trade

Labanc is that RH-top-6 forward Canes would like to have (they don't need him, just would be an plus) and those other assets can either be used as future regulars in a season (Weisblatt and Merkley will be ready by then) or some of them flipped again this summer for win-now assets. It'd be a shrewd move to consider for probably the most shrewd organization in the league.

Bruh it's potentially Shane Wright

Very likely a top 10 pick probably top 5

For Brett Pesce

Yea you're right. Labanc Weisblatt Merkley would be an offer I'd go with but doubt the Canes accept. Doesn't make sense for SJ to part with their 1st, even tho I think it's likelier SJ's pick in this draft with this roster would be higher than pick #20, it's too risky.

I hope something works out but I don't see any of it.
It's time for the sharks to pay the tax for their cup runs. Seattle taking Burns is doughtful unles we give up assets that we need like picks and youth. Face it this team is what it is for the next few years. Nobody anytime soon is going take our big contracts. Yes, if we had a top 6 forward, 3C and an above ave. goaly we could push for a playoff spot but with Vegas, Colorado, probably Seattle and even Edmonton and Calgary we aren't winning the west and/or a cup.

Sorry but IMO it's tax season for our beloved Sharks. I so hope I'm wrong and DW works some magic but at some point we have to pay the tax.

Two abysmal playoff-less seasons in a row isn't tax season?? To be fair, SJ is in CA, which means very high taxes so that'll likely be worth 6 playoff-less seasons of taxes to pay...
