The thing about Evgeni Malkin is, he's always legitimately injured. Hasn't been 100% in years.

Counter-point: Malkin doesn't have a lot of years left, is always injured, never 100% for the playoffs, so sitting out a regular season would be smart as far as helping the Penguins win another Cup. Seriously though, Crosby could play into his 40s if he wanted to, I'm not sure Malkin will even re-sign after this contract is up.
