Funny how SO many Rangers fans want him, but very few are willing to pay the price.

Hertl can go UFA in a year...and if he’s extended he turns 29 a few month into the contract...so what would you consider a reasonable offer?

Im just going off of what other Sharks fans have told me in other posts I have made.

Hertl is going to be a free agent with all the leverage in his corner. If he tells management hes not gonna resign and test the market, what are they gonna do? He now becomes a rental. No one is gonna give up anything majorly significant to get Hertl if hes not resigning.

I don't know who in the hell said Chytil + 3rd, but they aren't a sharks fan.

Well, Columbus got a 1st and a 2nd for Nick Foligno as a rental at the trade deadline, so I'd expect a 1st round pick to be part of the equation.

In the end, due to the Rangers' situation involving Mika and Strome, and their cap situation- which looks to be very dicey in 2022, NYR are probably not the best trade partner w/ SJ if they are looking to move Hertl.

Deadline deals are not good proxies for bigger deals in the summer, no team would have dropped a 1st for Foligno in the off-season. That’s said, a 1st and Chytil is a decent offer for Hertl.
