Saros 4M$ ☹

What does he have to do to get respect in this league

Also with him likely finishing top 3 in Norris voting this summer and might win it (same voting logic that got Taylor Hall his mvp) that arbitration case is easy p-z

Nashville just doesn’t have the prospects to make a trade for Jack Eichel. Most of their contracts are older players that won’t interest Buffalo.

I was thinking the Demko contract but also went shorter in term and then the Tennessee income tax thing. So I think it’s fair. It equals a bit more than Merzlinkins got

Yeah that's not in the ball park for Jack Eichel, Poile pretty much said that Fabbro is one of the untouchables.

If Fabbro is an untouchable , it’s not in the ballpark ? That sentence is kind of contradicting itself

Granted Fabbro and Tomasino are the best prospects Nashville probably has, they don’t even come close to moving the needle for Jack Eichel. They might help in getting Sam Reinhart, but not Jack. The two firsts aren’t nothing, but this draft is a crapshoot. Next year could be different, but Nashville would be very different with Jack Eichel too.

How so? Even if Fabbro were added you don't have the right pieces here to land Jack Eichel, Picks will be in the late teens to early 20's range Fabbro by himself is no major upgrade and neither is Tomasino. Like one poster said Nashvilles core is aging and they don't have the prospects to land Eichel.

I just don’t think Sabres are getting back pieces like Robertson, Farabee, Laf, Byfield , Stutzle , etc. The main piece will be a level below that and then a couple of good prospects and a couple of 1sts

You're probably right, especially with Eichel's injury history he's already missed like 85 games over his career so far. If i'm any sane GM i'm not giving up any major assets for him that's just the way it is.

I honestly don't know what to think of the Eichel trade. Probably means you're pretty close if not there. Maybe another lower value asset (thinking project prospect or NHL bottom 6er or expiring deal - Jarnkrok?) so the Sabres can say they got 5 pieces. Either way, good work.

I do expect any Eichel trade to have some filler to make the return look bigger.

Fabbro does not have that much value to Buffalo, they have similar RHD prospects already, and if theyre trading Eichel they can wait the few years to develop their own

People keep coming up with excuse after excuse to rob Buffalo again. Their will be multiple teams bidding, you wouldnt want to lose out a franchise player because you thought you could get away with lowballing a team. His injury is not close to being as big of a issue as this site has made it

Robertson and Farabee are considered to be level above Tomasino? Farabee I could see, as he's having success in the NHL this season now, but what's Robertson done?

Yeah BUF fans are going to be disappointed if they think Eichel is going to return nothing but draft picks and ELC prospects. How many teams can squeeze in Eichel's contract without sending some salary back? I'm not saying they're going to have to take back bad contracts of an Okposian nature, but there would have to be some salary coming back. If NSH were to bid on Eichel ( I hope they don't), I could see an Ellis or Arvidsson as part of the return.

Robertson just had 45pts in 51 games a rookie. Even if he’s going to regress next year , you definitely don’t trade him.

Haha, I was thinking of NICK Robertson, not Jason. Yeah, Jason would be off limits for DAL.
