I think Newhook is in the lineup to stay. That being said I think Bednar’s easy play is to scratch him if Saad is available. The ballsy thing is to keep him at 2C between Kadri and Burakovsky, push Saad to the 3rd with Nichushkin and Jost, and as crazy as it is Donskoi and Compher on the 4th with PEB.

In order to roll 4 lines, I'd say that's a good plan. Sucks for Newhook to get pushed out but he'll be available in case of injury or ineffectiveness and he's had the last handful of games to get integrated into the team. Now, if Mac can't go, then they'll really need Newhook to step in an step up. I think Bo, even if healthy, also gets scratched in favor of Nemo (because of his PK role) but it's nice to have both him and MacDonald for the same reason.

Byram shouldn’t be scratched if he is healthy, period. He was plying at an exceedingly high level defensively significantly better than anything Nemeth could be. Scratching a healthy Byram is a massive mistake. If I’m Bednar I put my best team on the ice that includes Byram and Newhook, and don’t get cute playing lesser players because they have experience.

I think the only reason they would put Nemo in is for PK duties since EJ is still out. But I agree that Byram gives them a better chance to win than does Nemo, end of story. We'll see if Bo is healthy and what Bednar does with him if he is available.
