I was wondering about the general consensus here. I've seen Buffalo fans saying that fox would be have to be added to kakko/laf/other packages for Buffalo to even consider trading Eichel. I think that's absolutely ludicrous, obviously Eichel is more proven but fox is arguably the best dman in the league this year, and is younger and has significantly less Nhl experience. If im the Rangers, I'm not sure I'd even trade Fox straight up for Eichel but I guess I can see the reasoning with the Rangers loaded RHD pool.

I was wondering what everyone else thought, because if Fox is being ADDED to Kakko or Laf... thats an insane overpay. You could easily make the argument that Fox would have been the sabres best player this past season

As of right now, Fox has more trade value than Eichel (his trade value was lowered due to public comments, injury, etc). Even if a healthy Eichel had more value than Fox, he’s too valuable to the Rangers to be included in any trade.

There is no argument for jack eichel having equal, or more trade value than Adam fox. Fox is clearly the more valuable asset.

Sabres fans don’t ask for Fox we know he’s untouchable. They ask for Laf and Kakko when Rangers fans trade Eichel for Howden, Strome and Chytil.

Seen tons of it on Twitter and there's a pretty vocal sabres fan here who said it, which is what inspired me to make this.

I'm a sabres fan so I follow the sabres reddit and I've seen some stuff there too like that.

Could you imagine Fox getting traded away from the Rangers after he basically forced his way to them.

It's two polar opposite situations. Fox forced his way to the Rangers. Eichel is forcing his way out of the Sabres

Fox isn’t getting moved. Not trading a top 5 d man in the league who’s league min for the next 2 years, 23 and our best defenseman by a million miles. Rangers don’t have the high end center prospect to send to Buffalo for Eichel so no deal to be made since they hate every other assets we’ve got. Send Eichel to LA or any of the other teams in the league that is interested and willing to pay the price. Cause if getting Eichel means giving up Fox, just no. Plus he’d probably just refuse to play in Buffalo.
