I agree with most of this actually. I like how you have Vancouver making it next year. I feel they will turn it around. I also think Philly will though. I feel Chicago will contend for a wild card spot however.

My brain wants to physically reject the notion of Tampa in a wildcard spot but like if Florida's legit and the Bruins/Leafs are healthy, like, maybe???

I like seeing oilers in the top spot, especially with FA this year we are gonna be scary come playoff time.

If Anton Lundell, Gregori Denisenko, Owen Tippett light it up and Bennett, Duclair, Verhaege keep playing well and Knight shuts it down, and they add one more solid D, they can go pretty far.

the thing is when Kucherov comes back they will have some cap issues for next season. Hedman is going for surgery but I have a feeling he is not gonna miss the entire season so LTIR space will be for basically 4 months maybe.

This leaves them with some problems

Goodrow and Coleman are most likely gone as Tampa cannot afford them, and even if they get seattle to take Johnsson they still dont got cap space

so with the loss of

Johnsson
Goodrow
Coleman
and one of Gourde, Killorn, or Palat
and some other guys I just cannot predict where they will finish

I'm under the impression it's all but accepted that Tampa's going to pony up the cost to move Johnson and McDonagh at the expansion draft. Seems to be a common move here at least.
