Quoting: PENSFAN1991
I did not adjust, that was the original trade. Zucker goals from 14-20: 21,13,22,33,21,20 - he has not faired well in pgh for the year and half that he has been here and need to lose some cap expense. Compare him to Perron, solid player not elite but potential and just didnt mesh in Pgh and Perron having solid end of career in STL. Kempe hasn't hit 20 goals yet in his career and if going to be top line winger going to have to put better numbers. No idea how the Kings feel about him going forward I just saw his name was tossed around at the deadline this year so thought could be a possibility maybe a prospect added in.
My apologies then regarding the draft picks.
Unfortunately for the Pens, my original argument still stands. Kempe's name could have been floated, but it was never going to be for anything other than 1 of 2 things.
1: Winger in the 25-27 range (Zucker is outside of that).
2: "Dynamic, young LHD" whatever that means. So likely a LHD still on or just coming out of ELC to fit in with the kids.
Zucker doesn't fit the profile for a rebuilding team. Not to mention everyone's production slips in LA due to ... who knows. The system, the personnel, black magic voodoo, the hockey gods hate goals in LA, I dunno. So I can't imagine a change of scenery would do Zucker any better here.
