We're giving up Thomas who we really like. As much as Id like Reinhart, to fit his cap in we are basically losing a great young D man in Dunn and an extremely promising forward in Thomas to score 5-10 more goals a year but 15 or so less assists.

While Bryson is a promising young defenseman, Blues say no pretty quickly to this deal. Also don't think they'll have much interest in Reinhart. Blues are a defensive minded, blue collar team and I dont Reinhart as a fit here. Think the Blues would rather just keep Schwartz or go for RNH during free agency.

Reinhart is better than Thomas. Bryson and a 3rd is good value for Dunn. Even turn the 3rd into a second if you want

First of all, Bryson and a 3rd for Dunn is a joke. Twenty teams will lap that offer. The Blues have zero use for another LD, let alone a microscopic one. The Blues would have less than no interest in Bryson. Secondly, Reinhart may be a little better than Thomas now, but Thomas will be better before long. And the organization loves that kid, he's probably our future captain. Thomas is thoroughly unavailable, and we probably can;t afford Reinhart anyway.
