Well, kudos. At least you gave an offer sheet that might get the player. But then this team falls apart after year (obviously neither the jackets, nor trouba accept that trade), when there’s no money left for major players that need to be re-signed. What you’ve done is made the window one year. You can do better.

Good luck....so Laffy, Kakko & Fox will probably want a nice RFA 2nd contract, and I'm pretty sure Jones will want a raise too.

No one gives a damn about Trouba’s wife. When the time comes we’ll kick his ass out the door through trade or buyout (don’t care about the high cap penalty when it’s saves up to $3.5 to 4 mil some years). It’s the nature of the business. No ones gives a damn about anyone’s feelings and nor should they, it’s about doing what’s best for the team.

He is our asset and we set the price, and we are not offering him for "rental". No #1C, no Jones.
