And don't ever downplay the worth of Copp. He's played the 3rd line most season and barely any time with the Jets top 6. Has 39 points in 55 mostly on the 3rd line and helped the Defense stack up 5on5 points too, amazing at penalty kill etc, etc. He's a ''better overall player'' than any of the CBJ players. Only Bjorkstrand is a bit better offensively but is a lot weaker defensively and overall. He's the complete 2 way player the Blue Jackets need. Don't think so? Well that would be sad to let go... Harkins is still a good player who had 7 points in 29 last year as a rookie, down year with less opportunities but is still only 23. Niku is still only 24 and has only had very limited opportunities. He still had a decent year last year with 14 point in 18 games in AHL, and 5 points in 17 games in the NHL last year with limited opportunities. Copp, Harkins and Niku seem like a good value for Jones. And the leafs 1st pick seems good for 2 2nds especially when it's a expected late pick. So a pick probably around 23-32 for 2 picks probably around 45-60ish. This is a very beneficial deal for ''BOTH'' teams. Either ways oh well life moves on.

Andrew Copp can't play 1C - CBJ's top need - and hasn't topped 30 points in his three seasons before 20-21. You say they're "only" 23 and 24, but that's old for hockey prospects, and Harkins isn't particularly interesting to me at all.

Seth Jones is a 1st pairing RD, and you're offering a middle six two-way C (where the Jackets have Domi and Roslovic) and two prospects who need a change of scenery. There's no chance. If you were looking to move Niku, CBJ would likely make an offer with a similarly performing prospect, perhaps Trey Fix-Wolansky.

I like Copp a lot, but he's not enough to justify this for CLB.
1) They're not trading a late round 1st for 2 late round seconds - They have plenty of picks over the next few years. They need first round talent, and NHL ready players.
2) Copp will be due a pretty hefty raise this year with arbitration rights.
3) Sami Niiku has proven nothing except he crack the Jets line up as a bottom pairing D man - I had high hopes for him, but I think he's disappointed the organization since his great season with the Moose in 17/18
4) If they deal Jones, CLB will be looking at high end defensive prospect (among other pieces) who is or is almost NHL ready

Just my opinion.

As a jackets fan, I'm tired of seeing these horribly one sided trade ideas.
Yeaaaa here's a star player, now offer up a bunch of garbage and it's done.
