So it's McAvoy > Theodore = Orlov >> Rielly
Malkin > Marchand = Nylander = ROR = William Karlsson >= Rantanen = Tkachuk > Pacioretty >>> PLD > Horvat = Aho = Johnson = Batherson > Monahan > Farabee > Zibanejad
*IF* we exclude shooting impacts. Now, a lot of these guys are really good at that - Rantanen, Patches, Zibanejad, Marchand and Aho might move up because of it. Karlsson, Monahan might move down.
But in terms of playing impact. In terms of every aspect of their game counting before their individual shot impacts happen at puck release, that's the rough outlining. Everyone left of, and including, Pacioretty is basically a high-end-1st-line-to-elite-level player. Monahan and Farabee are bad-ish and Zibanejad has a horrendous year. He was amazing just a few seasons ago, so hopefully he can regain form, but it's not looking very promising as of now.
As always, everyone else is incorrect because you've watched fewer cha- games than me. Please refrain from @-ing me if you're going to beg the question: like "Why don't you have Aho down as elite? We *know* he is elite". Then I'm going to say "he's not", you're going to say "but he is" and we won't get anywhere. If you want to argue, which I don't mind, please tell me *why* this order should change so that I can tell you that I don't care about point totals or draft position. Thanks!
