I’m intrigued as CBJ. But I’d probably just ask for two 2nds.

Only way they make this trade is if they lean into the “rebuild,” instead of whatever this “reload” is.

Gotta ask…you really got Price going to SEA though?

Montreal is paying too much try removing Yelonen and either Norlinder or the 1st. Otherwise it's not worth it for the Habs.

I know Sabres fans are going to want more but with the statement Eichel made at locker cleanout any team trading for him is taking a HUGE risk. A herniated disc in his neck means he is one bad hit or injury away from retirement or worse paralysis. No team will pay a premium for that big of a risk. They are going to want some assurances that Eichel will be able to play out his contract in top form.

Right now no one is certain just how significant the neck injury actually is. Those who have some idea are not saying anything. Either way there are no assurances anyone can give you aside from him being cleared to play prior to a trade going through.

I think most of the point involves us taking on Byron's extended contract - and I haven't yet made up my mind if those picks and prospects are worth the loss of Carlssn and the downgrade from Nyquist to Byron. It's possible but I'm kind of antsy.

Speed pk ability and leadership will surprise. Byron is a real checker and a hockey nhler model. As for Vejdemo he is a 4th liner to be with speed. Poehling on the other hand is a 2/3 centerman with good ceiling, 2way and scoring acumen. You also save cash. Picks are relatives, but also good overall. I wonder if i'm keeping Tatar.

KK and Suzuki are not far apart. But KK has the highest ceiling in a proper role. So 3 first Drouin KK 2022 plus 3 2nd in Norlider Ylonen and the 2021. In a cap tight era it also money doable.

If HABS do not pass 1 playoff rnd, we should blow up and rebuild. So yeah we offer Price to Seattle.

Poehling frankly doesn't strike as much of an upgrade on what we already have, so I don't really expect him to add much - the sort of center we need is a heavy-minutes guy who can shield the #2/3s we already have. And 4th liners are the absolute last thing we need. I think you may have just talked me out of it entirely. smile
