SEA is offered both JVR and Ghost and they accept as JVR will easily be one of the best players available and they take ghost as there will not be many D men who can play the right side available. If we have to add a 3rd or something then so be it.

Flyers cap looks like crap and you want to use all of it to piss off another team that has plenty of cap space for years after to make Flyers RFA signings a miserable hell

Won't be hell at all. Should be very easy to fit them all in and I'm guessing that Giroux will take a pay cut to stay in Philly and if not then buh bye

Well you don't have all your draft picks and the last successful OS where a player changed teams was in 2007 Dustin Penner to the Oilers. Since then four others have been made and all matched by their current team.

I can see why you would want a young player like that since Flyers are a bad team team getting older by the minute with lousy contracts but I doubt it happens.

Actually we do have our draft picks. And yes OS' don't happen very often but it's worth a shot! Imagine thinking the Flyers are a bad team when you are a Canucks fan tears of joy See the Flyers actually have prospects that can come up and take some veterans places...what do you have, Podkolzin or do you still consider Juolevi a top prospect tears of joy

If you’re going to do an offer sheet, at least make it a decision for them.

If Philly wants Pettersson they should have drafted him instead of drafting Patrick. Petey would never accept an offer from them for that snub. What's bad is thinking CBJ will do that trade 1 from 1 least of all adding a 1st round pick. And I really like Couturier. But worst of all is thinking Seattle will take both JVR and SG without multiply 1st round picks and/or high end prospects. If they wanted to move and dump both those players then they wouldn't have the necessary picks to offer sheet Petey.

CBJ say yes, provided a new contract is ready before the trade.

Also my man, you’re gonna have to give up some assets to get SEA to take all that. Said it before, I’ll say it again, trade Ghost-Bear to CBJ, maybe throw them a 2nd or something.

You people do understand that SEA will likely want any top 6 F that is actually left available to them right? “Oh my god, a player is a $7 mil cap hit, he is absolutely not worth anything at that hit!”

Give your heads a shake

I'd also insist on lottery protection for the 1st.

Ghost will certainly be exposed and most likely JVR too, Seattle will take either one of them for sure. If Philly wants Seattle to take the other as well then asset(s) will have to be given up and it will most certainly be more than a 3rd round pick as it will be looked at as a cap dump. A few other teams may want Seattle to take 2 players as well as a number of teams will be up against the cap. The cost will be high

Vancouver easily matches that, just as easily as Carolina matched Aho's. You worry about the cap issues when you cross that bridge, you can't let a guy like Elias go plain and simple.
