Buffalo would much rather have Dubois in this deal. They can’t sell their fan base on another rebuild. A hockey trade is far more likely here. Plus you’ll be improving on the center that you brought in for Laine.

Honestly, just swap Connor for Dubois and I like the deal for the Jets.

I’m sorry but ain’t no way they’re trading Eichel and mayeb even Reinhart and then not rebuilding. This team is headed for a rebuild , might be a shorter one since they already have Cozens, Dahlin, Olofsson, Quinn, UPL, a top 3 pick this year + returns from Eichel and Reinhart trades. As well as potentially getting a franchise centre next year in Wright/Lambert/Savoie. But to think that this team will compete in the next 2 years if they trade Eichel, no matter what the return is , is pretty ridiculous

I’m saying management must understand they do not have a choice. If they initiate a full rebuild nobody is buying tickets to watch this team. It’s already been 10 years of missing the playoffs which ties a league record. They have to be at least competitive next season or they may as well fold the franchise because they will not make any money.

I agree but I just don’t see how this team will be competitive . It’s better to tank next year than finish middle of the pack. There’s legit franchise guys in the next 2 guys. And you can get great returns from trades. I can see this team being competitive again in 2 years if they get great returns in Eichel, Reinhart trades plus get one of Wright/Bedard

I know and that proves my point, one injury in their top 6 and they fall apart, if the Jets top 6 was so good/deep they should've been able to get through Ehlers injury better then they have.

Even their two victories since the losing streak began are pretty suspect, Markstrom sucked and the Flames made a bunch of unforced errors the Jets scored on and last night Holtby wasn't good and that Canucks lineup was mostly filled with bottom six talent and AHLers.

If the Jets top six was as good as its touted to be they don't go on a 7 game losing streak and lose 9 in 10 games.
