Wild don't really have any room for Smith. We have too many wings and specifically left shot wings as it is. Next year we'll have Kaprizov, Fiala, Boldy, Foligno, Greenway, and Zuccarello as our top 9 wings and all of them are left handed. We also have Parise under contract for 4 more years. Smith would just add to the logjam. There's teams out there where he'd be a much better fit than Minnesota.

That’s fair. It wasn’t the big point of this idea I had. I would just figure Smith wouldn’t be apart of this rebuild. I think the Wild will be on Sam Reinhart this offseason he played the last 22 games at center and had 19 points.
