Description
Just recently i found and watched a video called "The Last of Ott: Fixing the Ottawa Senators" on YouTube. It's a bit old (released on August 10th, 2018) but i wanted to make an AGM about it. If you want to look for it, it's since been unlisted, but the original uploader has put it (and the rest of his old hockey videos) in a playlist. you can look at that here:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqOg2KnZMO2X-94xFhSNEq5B468N8R-nB

In short, the 5 step plan the uploader formulated to save the Sens was:

Step 1: Sign Mark Stone and Matt Duchene
Step 2: Roll Out the Children
Step 3: Trade Bobby Ryan to Edmonton for Milan Lucic
Step 4: Send Cody Ceci to Hell
Step 5 (IMPORTANT): Trade Erik Karlsson at the Trade Deadline

as said, Step 5 was VERY important. What if EK65 was traded to Columbus?

The trade ask that Griffiti set up was:

2 first round picks
A very good NHL defenseman
Best prospect
A-level defensive prospect

So i came up with...

Columbus acquires:
Erik Karlsson

Ottawa acquires:
2 1st round picks
David Savard
Liam Foudy
Andrew Peeke

I know the salary cap is atrocious, but i really didn't think about it until afterwards and i don't want to change it. Just pretend that their previous cap hits were still in effect.

If you're going that far back in your time machine, you would also need to bring Murray and Nutivaara back.

Not to mention that little thing called a salary cap.

My favorite part is Dubinsky is back playing, and the 1C. This is just a really weird one, my friend!

This is supposed to be a 2018-19 roster, but you can't go back in time with AGM. This was before Dubinsky was shut down for the rest of his career by Jarmo.

Half the players he brought in were on much small contracts in 2018 when this was proposed. Hindsight he should have just created the players at the lower salary instead of using current to see how it would have looked

Yeah man, and I don’t think Cbus makes this trade to begin with. With Werenski and Jones, last thing they needed was to overpay for top-pairing defenseman

You got Jones on the 2nd pair. Come on, my dude
