Absolutely AMAZING possible last game for Peks!!!! The team did it for Rinne. They were determined to win it for him. Not only did Rinne get a shutout, our defense without Josi, Ellis and Eks somehow was really good!!!

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING PEKKA!!!!! I don't want you to go. The most BELOVED Pred of all time😢😭😢😭😭😢. Been a fan of the Preds and Rinne since the 2017 Cup final. He's the reason I LOVE hockey so much!!! You'll forever be my favorite sports player of all time and one of my favorite people to exist!!!

VERY emotional moment for the fans during the standing ovation. You could see Rinne mouth "I love you" to the fans and they yelled it back!!!😢😢😢😢

Was nice to see Saros congratulate his fello friend. Best friendship in the NHL imo!!

I highly doubt that the preds would have won if the canes were not resting players for the upcoming first round. I have no doubt that the canes just tanked the final two games just to see the preds in the first round. But absolutely congrats to Pekka. I have always loved watching him even though I am a canes fan.

It's not like Nashville didn't rest players too. Top 3 of the d group (Josi, Ellis, Ekholm) and Carrier who is arguably their 2nd pairing RHD with Ekholm (sorry Fabbro). Heck the first pairing was Farrance (2nd NHL game) and Fabbro (2nd full NHL season). The forward group wasn't rested as much but Kunin (tied 5th NSH goals), Sissons, Jarnkrok (tied NSH goal leader), Arvidsson (tied 5th NSH goals), Haula (3C), and Granlund (tied NSH goal leader). None of them are as good as Svechnikov but they're all big contributors to the NSH team.

Either way, I'd love to see Rinne back 1 more season even if it's just a backup to the backup so he can perform infront of a packed Bridgestone Arena one more time.

Will definitely be a weird feeling not seeing Rinne on the ice next season, if it comes to that. I thought at the start of the season that he could retire and then Ingram comes up, but recently I've been thinking he'll sign for 1 more year. After last night, who knows...

If that is his last regular season game, what a career he has had! Best Predators to put on the sweater and first number to be retired. What a Nashville legend!
