I think there gonna want one of laine or werenski as the pseudo center piece along with the top 5 pick.
I’d do werenski, top 5 first, Toronto first, domi, korpi.

But removing Werenski, would make that Dcorps very subpar

If this trade happens before the Seattle draft, I try and flip domi for picks and maybe reflip picks for dunn.

The value is OK or at least close - I don't think Eichel will love playing for the Bluejackets any more than he loved Buffalo - if the Sabres take a deal like this they are officially in the tank for 2022 and 2023 drafts

Let me clarify I feel this deal is already in your favor but I'm giving a little because I'm slightly salty and I'm sure Eichel would not be overjoyed going to the Bluejackets - If you really need money to go back put in Bjorkstrand.

If it starts with Laine or Werenski, the Jackets should definitely offer:
Laine, top 5 1st, Toronto 1st, Korpi, & either Foudy or Texier.

I think the play is to trade Zach. While none of it is reported I do believe it is the most likely outcome that he will want to go home. I have a bad feeling. So we keep Jones as the key defender and roll laine and jack on the top line.

The problem is...Jones may not want to stay and he is not under team control after 2022. Werenski is still an RFA, so even extending him 1 more cycle helps (Securing a big piece like Eichel would probably help convince them all to stay). Then, as csick mentions, sign a Hoffman or Palmieri too (with the savings in trading Laine).
