Completely agree on the korpi thing. Would love to get more however I don’t want both going into next year and didn’t want to repost the same trade we see 10x a day.
While I agree with your assessment of how we would do business I think that laine knows he’d be one year away from FA. Also knowing he can just take another QO after next season and walk. If he wants to stay and get paid, and jarmo is willing to play ball and tries to get him a long term deal. This may be the best solution.
If he gets 40 next year and is noticeable almost every night even if it’s not with his shot, then he’s getting north of 10. Easy. Banking on his return to goal scoring as the norm.

I get that that's the idea; I'm just not sure if it's a wise one to bank on his rebounding. I want it to happen, but I also want things like a few Cup rings and Brayden Point in union blue, so some degree of likelihood needs to be evaluated.
