Not sure what's up with Savard, he's had a bad year. He'll come to PIT to try to Ceci it around.
The penguins will need to find a RD and I think Savard would be a great fit. I also don't think his cap hit will be all that high given his year.

The NY trade gives NY a really good defensive forward for their bottom 6 and a forward who can PK.
They trade away a their 3LD from this year. Robertson is probably a better LD anyway, but we could do either here. ZAR is probably gone out the door. Too many good bottom 6 players in WBS. Somehow there has to be some space made. It allows them to save some cap as well by bringing up OConnor. You could consider it part of the Kreider deal.

The BOS trade allows BOS to move on from DeBrusk who is just struggling. They get a LW that they need in Zucker. DeBrusk probably doesn't turn it around here. But that's ok because it's only 1 year and we get a 1st, as we wouldn't move Zucker without one at this point. By mid season we are ready to start Poulin anyway. Which is really the direction the team wants to head.

I think adding Savard, Kreider and Caulfield along with OConnor gives the team a little bit more push on the ice. Helps the team sort of get a spine and grit it out.
I know people will say Kreider won't waive, he's not gonna win a cup in NY anytime soon. As a team they just aren't there. But maybe he can win one here.
Either way big changes are coming to this team in the next 2 years. If they don't win a cup this year expect heavy turn over. I think they are happy with their RW, and down the middle. Which means if the forwards are going to change, it's everyone below Jake on the hot seat.

We could try moving DeBrusk, although I'm not sure where.
