Even as a Leafs fan I think you might be able to get more for Kubalik from someone else.

The problem with Keith is that he's a *decent* defenseman, but putting him in for over 20 minutes a night exposes him hard and drives his impact way negative.
He's a 2nd pairing guy at best but probably a 3rd on a contender, and between his age, contract, and NMC we aren't getting value for him so might as well keep him to mentor young guys.

I get the idea for Wrighty but we won't and don't tank.

Keith won't be moved, he's a lifer. I hope we don't trade away Murphy as it does make our rebuild longer.

I agree Strome could fetch a late 1st. Kuba would fetch a better return and again I hope we don't trade him away unless we get overpaid.

I kind of only want Strome as a low-cost experiment, and one of the 1sts isn't low-cost.
