4th= 1st round exit, loss to champions
The jets will upset the Oilers, Hellybuck will shut down their offense, and Mike Smith will lose confidence. The Habs and Leafs will have a very tight series full of Drama, but the leafs are too cursed to win a playoff series, and the habs go to play the Jets. The Habs lose in 6 games, and the Jets win the Division.
The Golden Knight will easily beat the blues, maybe in 5 games. The avs will struggle to beat the Wild, but will eventually win. A long predicted clash between the Knights and the Avs. It's a toss up really, but I think this is when the young defensive core of the Avs will triumph. The Golden Knights will now have lost in the Stanley cup finals, 1st round, conference championships, and the 2nd round, in their four years in the NHL.
The Tampa-Florida series will be really rough, and I think the return of Kucherov and Stamkos will be the only reason they win. Florida has been red-hot, and can beat their state rivals. It will be a toss up, but they key will be Florida's offense, and how much their top 6 will dominate against the deep Lightning. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes will beat the predators in 4 or 5 games, mostly low scoring ones. The Hurricanes have Dougie Hamilton and an explosive top 6, and Jesper Fast might find himself having a breakout. The hurricanes will beat either Floridan team as well, in a series that will come down to goaltending, to make it to the 3rd round.
The Islanders will beat the Penguin's aging core, and will go on to play the Capitals, who had a violent series against the Bruins, but won in the end. The Islanders will have a tough opponent, but I think their top 6 and Washington's inexperienced goaltending will lead to an Islanders win. They key will be depth here, which both teams have, but this might be when players like Lars Eller and the third line start to underperform, and the Islanders will win.
The Hurricanes will play the Jets, and this will a tight series going to 7 games. They key here is Hellybuck, and the Jets defense, but I think Aho and the cane's top 6 will get past them. The Hurricanes will eventually win, and go on to the Stanley Cup finals. The Islanders will play the Avs, yet another toss up. The key will be the Isle's defense, and whether they can keep Ratanen and MacKinnon at bay. I think the Avs will win, although not easily, and will play the Canes in the Stanley Cup Finals.
An intriguing Final it will be. The Canes have a very well round team, each of their offensive lines capable of goals and shutdown. They may not be the fastest though, and I think the Avs will be able to get lots of shots on goal, but the Canes have the Goaltending that no one else has. All 3 goaltenders are reliable, and the Avs will struggle to get dangerous scoring chances. The Avs have a great top 6, but their bottom 6 will struggle to score. They will not have the possession, and they will scramble to keep the puck away from the met. But the Avs have a full Calibre Defense, with players like Makar, Graves, and Girard to carry them out, and create rushes. They have a fast team, and if Bryam is back, this will be when he shines. Grabbuar is an amazing goalie too, and the Hurricanes may struggle to Find the back of the net. The Avs will win in 6.
Jets winning the North? Yeesh idk about that one, it would take hellebuyck standing on his head every night to even get past round 1. My final for this year is Colorado vs Florida
A for Effort
Also an A for excellence.
This is really good. Very agreeable though I'd have my Canes winning the cup just cause I can't make a bracket without them for cup because they are actually contending for a deep run this year.

Isles vs Leafs in either the Semi or Finals. Leafs fans would go ballistic. Low Key Rivalry brewing for the last few years
Yes and game 7 Double OT. Galchenyuk coming down the wing. Dangles. Pulls a defender sauce it over to Tavares and pots it home to advance to the finals... Amazing
