It's not a sure thing, but it's sounding more and more like Robinson might end up protected. I'm not entirely sure how that'd be set up, but he's been making himself a priority here.

I was hoping they were going to gamble on ufa Lowry loyalty and try to slide him through as a ufa instead of how they played it, probably going to lose Appleton this way. Not sure how much to keep them off berdin or Appleton, but probably just accept the loss of Appleton. Going to be a solid player and opportunity in Seattle for him

I agree. I thought they were gonna wait for the offseason to extend Lowry. that literally just makes them lose a protection

I expect the sabres to protect asplund. The players exposed would be thompson, borgen, miller, girgensons, and eakin. If thats the list, and i was picking for seattle, i take borgen and not think twice about it.
