Realistic cap management with strengthen team also room for future improvements

Description
Strengthen team with key trades (Kuznetsov and Debrusk- both fallen out of favor with current team), By trading Caleb and Willim the only sensible option to pick for Seattle would be Kassian which leaves EDM with more cap room.
Neal is still valuable to some teams and his trade is not hard if just follow what TOR and other teams do these days in a 3 team trade, ship a prospects and trade higher pick with a lower one.
Colorado is in Cap crunch next year so EDM can scoop Goalie, if he is not available EDM can take a run at Ullmark in Buffalo (guarantee he is not staying in buffalo and has upside if plays on good time like EDM)
Edmonton is trending upwards so easy to attract new players
After these trades there will be still room for coming years to give promotion to Nurse, Yamamoto, Bear and JP and prospect D and forwards

Washington aren't trading a Kutzetnov for RNH.... Gee they would trade Kutzy for assets and sign RNH as a UFA. Kinda optimistic that Seattle wants Kassian and his cap hit.

There's nothing realistic about this, and I'm an oilers fan.

Washington isn't trading Kuznetsov for RNH, who could be available in free agency anyways. And RNH certainly isn't signing for a 5.5 million cap hit.

Jones doesn't get us debrusk, although I'd we add a pick that trade has some potential.

Seattle is probably scared off by Kassians cap hit for 3 more years, we probably lose someone else.

Yamamoto doesn't sign at that cap hit for 4 years, probably 2 years.

Grubauer almost certainly stays with Colorado.

And Mike Smith has probably earned a slight pay raise (maybe a 2 million dollar cap hit), but who knows what he'll sign for honestly.

Chiasson is 30 and regularly gets healthy scratches for a team with a weak bottom 6 and cleared waivers earlier and if he didn't get put in front of the net beside one of the best PP duos hockey has ever seen he'd have about 7 points this season it's just like...

Signing him to a 1 year 800k deal would be odd

But 4 years at 1.5M$ ... why would that be good?

Nuge has an extension in this armchair GM look at the UFA signings. Caps trade still bad tho.

CAP-CAP- CAP, Washington need to shed some cap so it could happen.... if they try to sign RNH, everyone will know they must trade Kutzy to stay under cap that will drop his value drastically so again we can get him for cheap assets but again RNH's first preference is Oilers- I think?

Boston will try to resign HAll and they do not have the cap, plus Debrusk fallen out of favor there, he is paying on their 3rd line and his points dropped this year, guess that will make any player upset and start trade rumors...it is not Jones Boston wants it is the cap crunch they will feel fi they sign Hall
AS for RNH, his first choice would be Oilers so it could be similar to when Montreal signed Subban and traded him afterwards, anything happen in flat cap era
Oilers need to be creative if they want to be contenders for years to come

FLAT CAP era will show us some crazy stuff this year more so than last year I guess, all these things could happne....AS for Washisgton, colorado and Boston, cap crunch is coming, no one wanna lose good players but agian you have to choose who you can keep and who is going to walk so better get some prospects than nothing

You said a lot of things there. Problem is, there are some inaccuracies. First, the situation with debrusk:

He’s had a down year. No question about that. GMs aren’t foolish enough to judge players solely off this season, given how unorthodox it was. Short off season, no pre-season schedule, not much notice as to when the season was actually starting etc. so do you think a team trades a kid taht put up 27 goals in 68 games one season for absolutely nothing based off this season? No. Literally no GM is that stupid, and there are some ones out there that are pretty dopey. They aren’t trading debrusk. They aren’t exposing him. It seems pretty obvious the bruins will let him try to play himself out of this, and if he doesn’t, and they get nothing for him in the end, well, that’s about the same as this trade.

    The cap:
I just don’t know where you’re coming from here. Might want to visit the bruins page. Ample cap room. They could sign hall, krejci, rask, carlo, and have a comfortable 5 million to spare.
