Same scenario, Doubt Yzerman would protect Namestnikov over say Givani Smith. But then again Smith is a Holland pick so he just might leave him unprotected.

As much as I hate saying it, I think Philly accepts. Coots is a top 30 player in hockey and the Flyers wont be able to replace him for a *long* time, but this is just the right amount of overpay where I don't think it destroys the Rangers core, and I think the Flyers just couldn't refuse
