There's no way Price is moving.

You know a year ago if you told me your plan to be a contender involved purposely acquiring Cody Ceci I'd laugh and laugh. Now? I still laugh just not as hard.

1) price isnt going anywhere.
2) We are not bringing back both tatar and danault, and i think at this point danault is the more important piece. Tatar isnt coming back to clog up a top 6 spots, especially at that salary and term it doesnt make sure for the future.
3) caufield starts next year in the top 6 barring some crazy addition in the offseason.
4) Fleury and Brook are on the cusp, to think we would actively look to acquire a pilon....aka ceci, to take their potential spot is ridiculous. If we fell thats a need then resign Merril who has looked solid, is cheaper, and already fitting in nicely with romanov.
Lastly, we arent going to be adding 4 bottom 6 forwards for a combined cap hit of 13.75 mil on contracts or 3, 4 and 5 years. We will have plenty of RFA deals to hand out in the next couple years and cap space is going to have to be prioritized to keep the core together and happy.
