Boqvist doesnt have to be protected. Our defensive protection list is likely going to be Keith, Murphy, and Zadorov if hes not traded before then. It would be beneficial for the Kraken to take De Haan, so no reason to choose the 8 skaters option, bringing us to the 7-3-1 option where it will be easy to protect Strome as well. Most likely guys to be taken are either David Kampf or De Haan, which probably doesnt force the need from a trade for us. But if MN finds the need to trade Dumba for a center, its probably not Strome without more addition on our end.

Yeah. Strome’s year is looking a lot like Dumba when he got hurt and that absolutely tanked his value. He’s back now and I really think MIN wants to go into next year with him if we can fill the hole at C some other way.

It’s kind of an unfortunate reality for Strome but I like the fit for MIN. Just not as part of a package for Dumba unless some other pieces are added.
