Avs wont be exposing Burakovsky, Toews, Kadri, Girard bc of Erik Jonhson NMC which people use the auto protect function and are instantly wrong as soon as they do

Graves and 2 of Donskoi Compher Nichushkin or Jost are the only noteworthy Avs that will be exposed,

Check how many defenders Colorado needs to protect. They are going 4 D or even 5 D

No No the wont. Ryan Graves is not someone they are going to protect. And Erik Johnson will waive his NMC or be boughout, its not rocket science here

Ducks have better goaltending, better forward group, better overall D core
Buffalo has better D and top 6
New Jersey has better goaltending and forwards
Vancouver has better goaltending forwards and D

Not better than any of them, I would honestly say this would be the worst team in the league by a fair bit

Jeff Carter has basically threatened to retire for years whenever LA looked to trade him, only saying yes when Hextall asked. Would probably see a similar thing with the expansion draft. “If you take me, I retire”.

Didn't use auto protect also I have seen no where saying Johnson waiving his NMC for expansion. MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog, Kadri, Makar, Toews, Girard and Johnson are likely the protected 8

Ducks scoring leader has 28pts. It's laughable to say they have a better forward group. Gibson is the only clear cut better aspect of the Ducks.

Erik Johnson has been hurt since last playoffs, and there has been speculation that Avs have already asked him and back in February was open to waiving. If you want to pretend you have a better pulse on the Avs their XD plans based on every avs fans on this site saying the same thing from what has been constntly mentioned the guys who cover the team, fill your boots

But Its EJ waives that is more than likely at this point or is bought out. A guy who might not even be able to play meaningful minutes again in the NHL isnt going to hurt the Avs roster by not waiving since there is 0 risk of him being selected.

Are you even aware the leading scorer on this team only has 32? On one of the best teams in the league? It laughable to call a team with Andre Burakovsky as its best player competitive. Ducks forward group is only going to get better, this team would need every single player to have a career season to not finish in the basement of the league. Ducks and every other team in the league are clearly better than this roster tears of joy

Give me Fowler, Lindholm, Manson, Shattenkirk, Fluery and Drysdale over this sad excuse for a NHL D-core

This would be the worst team in the league by a good amount

Even if the chance of being claimed is essentially zero that doesn't mean he's going to waive. Dion Phaneuf is a prime example of such a case

There has been 0 ruling by the league on recently injured players being exempt from expansion exposure. The Oilers are dealing with the same situation with Klefbom.

This is just the team out of expansion, they have 20 to 25 million to use in free agents. It's more likely the Ducks regress next season versus progressing, their xGF% is in the toilet and their prospects are being forced into top line duty.

I didnt say he was injury exempt, I said there is 0 risk in him being selected bc he is injured, he waives bc why would seattle wants a 33 year old Dman making 6m who is injured at the time of the XD

Dion Phaneuf played a full season, recently waived from TO to go to Ottawa and didnt want to waive to leave his family in Ontario and did not receive any guarantee from Ottawa that they would make sure he isnt selected if he waives.

That is not even close to the same situation

also sakic has a history of buying out someone who didnt waive, they asked Beauchemin to waive, he didnt, so they bought him out

So will the Ducks whats your point? The Prospects are not being forced into top line duty, if you watched Ducks games you would know that, apart from Drysdale none of them average more than 15 minutes a night. Saying the Ducks will regress is as laughable as this roster, they're only going to get better as the kids get more experience and playing time.

Funny you mention Drysdale, how's he doing? CF% of 33.4 despite being fed offensive zone starts. Just another example of young players struggling with no insulation. I don't see how having him on the Ducks instead of the Gulls is helpful.

Yeah because Eakins is incompetent (As an Oilers fan you should know that) and playing him on his off-side for his first 16 career games. Drysdale is a stud and has looked much, much better since he moved to his natural side. Looking at stat sheets as your only source of information is only hindering your analysis. Watch the games or dont comment cause you looked at some numbers on a website.

I hope you dont think that he wont improve, that would just be an ignorant take, hes only 19, he isnt going to set the world on fire yet. Hes on the Ducks because he was dominating the AHL, hes looked better every single game

So in summary sometimes players that no one wants still won't waive their NMC when asked and sometimes GMs buy out players. Glad to know you got the crystal ball though

Forgive me for not spending my time watching AHL tier hockey, I don't have to watch Buffalo games to know they are terrible also.
