Debrusk is worth a second at best or a similar underachieving prospect. He'd be a decent addition but his value is low right now, especially not worth a first in a flat cap world.

That Nurse trade is pure troll material. Trading your best defenceman for an up and down forward is just plain stupid. Klefbom likely done for his career and is injured for 25% of every season... can't rely on Oleksiak to be a top 2.

Bruins fans keep thinking Nurse wants out for some reason. There were 2 reasons that Nurse signed a 2 year bridge... first was to see his potential and figure out if he was a 1st or 2nd pairing D and get the long term contract as such (has proven first pairing this year with Klefbom out) and the second was to wait out some of the Chiarelli contracts in order to be able to afford the higher cap hit. Sekera buyout dropping, Pouliot buyout done, Koskinen contract will be over, Neal will be bought out... the Oilers will be able to pay Nurse when he's due. Nurse wanted a Trouba contract 2 years ago but the Oilers couldn't make that work. It will still end up coming down to if Nurse/Holand can agree on a contract but Nurse has not been giving indications he's bolting as soon as that contract ends. I get Pietrangelo wasn't giving indications last year either, but Nurse gives off the impression he enjoys being a part of the Oilers core and can handle the spotlight of playing in a Canadian market. In the end this will come down to money, not a player bolting.
