Below I've put my predictions for the First and Second All-Star Teams, as well as the All-Rookie Team. I know its about 6-10 games premature so it might shift but...whatever.
Each team coincides with a place in the lineup: 1st Team = 1st line, 2nd Team = 2nd line, Rookie = 3rd line
PLEASE keep in mind...this isn't what I think it should be necessarily, but what I think it WILL be. I might be wrong about Panarin (could be Marner, Crosby, Marchand, Huberdeau), but I think the others are a lock. Same goes for D: could be Girard, Hamilton, or Letang instead of some of those names.
Finally: kind of wild there are 4 Rangers here - that team is going to be dangerous soon
I can't complain about any of you selections, but I hope Zub gets some consideration for the all-rookie team on Defence. He has been huge for the Sens.
Chychrun deserves to be on the 1st or 2nd team. The way I see it, he has been the defenseman most valuable to his team. Sure Hedman, Makar, Theodore, and Fox have all been fantastic, but each plays on a team with multiple good defenseman. Chychrun is basically carrying the team on his back, and you cant say that about any other D man in the league except maybe Fox imo

I hear what you're saying, but there's no way the group that votes on this is voting in Chychrun. I also don't think All-NHL teams are meant to look at most valuable, even though I understand your argument that he might be more individually exceptional. I would actually still go and say these four defencemen have been better, but I do think Chychrun has been incredible

Sad that the NHL is all about politics instead of picking the players who most deserve/earn recognition
