I don’t think you’re too far off for Rielly or Hyman. I’m predicting Rielly at Krugs 6.5 M deal. Hyman will likely have long term to bring down the AAV. Don’t think Campbell will have a deal like that. No thanks to Reimer. Yikes at the Dermott contract.

Don't go get a new defenseman then. Let Sandin play higher up and Liljegren play as well. Hell, give Niemela a shot. Use that money to sign someone else at any position

Sure the Leafs can sign Reilly, but look at some of other signings....Leafs are really weak other areas. I think there is much better out their than Reilly at 7.125m

Not better, but cheaper solid options are available for free in Murray or McCabe types this summer. Or Rielly could be dealt for that calibre of dman this summer.

Thus avoiding paying too much for Rielly's decline years.
