Dom is a big stat guy, so I understand that numbers don't always lineup with reputation. The voters won't be as big on the advanced numbers, so we'll see how things pan out.

I'd still have Hedman over anyone on the list, but how Hedman and Vasy go is how the Lightning go. Hopefully he gets things turned around, but I think he honestly might need Rutta back (of all things). A week or 2 break of rest before the playoffs wouldn't hurt either.

I know he’s a big stat guy but I don’t think you can base how good someone is based solely on them. There has to be a mix of the eye test, advanced stats and regular stats. Valeri Nichushkin had some of the best advanced analytics last year, but is he one of the best players in the league? F no. Devon Toews is a great dman, but the impact he has on his team doesn’t come close to others that were lower than him (Hedman, McAvoy, Pelech, Makar to name a few). Hedman is also at the top in points among dmen. To me, this Norris race is a 2 player race, Fox and Hedman. I’d probably have McAvoy or Hamilton 3rd (forgot ab Hamilton when naming my top 5 real quick)

You're basing it on your opinion and on the player's reputation. This is based on numbers and Danault's are significantly better

The rumored, and I want to emphasize rumored, trade was Johnsson and Dermott for Weegar. I would've taken that in a heartbeat if, in fact, it was offered, but honestly something seems fishy about that deal to me. It came from Friedman, but there was a lot of "I think" in his comments.
