Yeah Benn's an anchor contract. Unfortunately, his playing style throughout his career has been extremely wearing. Now that he's older, he simply can't keep up anymore.

It's a shame. Imo prime Benn was probably the best LW in the league. Can't remember the last time a true power forward won the Art Ross. I don't see Mark Stone doing it any time soon, and he's probably closest from current players to what Benn was around 5-6 years ago.

I mean I think Stone is better now than Benn ever was. He won the Art Ross with less than 90pts - Stone is on pace for 94 and is better defensively. But I do agree that Benn was probably one of the best LW in the league at that time (don't forget Ovi)

Probably so - although back in 2015 or so teams in general scored much less than today. Could Stone have done that amount of points at his prime back then? Impossible to say.

As for Ovie...well yeah, can't exactly count him out.

I think Khudobin is better (and possible cheaper depending what Bernier demands) and because he's older gives you less turnover before you want a chance at a younger goalie

Bernier has been fantastic, he literally just put on a show against your team last night. Not interested in Khudobin at all.

Depending on how ufa goalies shake out maybe Detroit would consider it. Id hope theyd try to get younger not older in net but who knows.

Detroit scored 3 goals on 9 shots in the the first period on Khudobin and they did this without Larkin, Bertuzzi and Fabbri. Bernier stoped 50 out of the 52 shots he faced Saturday night. I'd rather have Bernier.

To be fair, Bernier has been quietly great for the Red Wings for the past few years. Khudobin is usually pretty good too. Between the two though, I'd rather have Bernier.
Regarding the trade, I'm a little iffy on it. It's ok in terms of value, but would be Plan C or Plan D in my books. Resigning Bernier (we already know what we're getting with him) or signing Ullmark (younger, higher ceiling) is more appealing, I think.

Bingo. I wouldn't even say it's a good plan C or D. Khodobin would be fine as a 1 year signing as a FA, but trading for a 35+ goalie, is just bad asset management.

Yes I used 2 games as an example because it perfectly sums up the situation but if i were you I learn how to count because it's clear that I used 2 games. I wouldn't even hire you to take tickets at the door with your counting ability. The insult would've been more effective if you could actually count to 2. I don't know use your fingers next time don't worry no one online can see it.
