The rest of your headline should read “it is not available.” Certainly would save everyone a lot of time. He’s available like Elias Pettersson is available, or JT Miller, or Brock Boeser. When you’re willing to part with one of those guys for him then it’s worth a conversation.

Pettersson Is better and boeser and Miller are about the same as Reinhart but this trade is terrible. I don’t think podkilzin* would be available but Reinhart is your best player.

Everyone thinks Buffalo is dog **** because they had the worlds worst coach in charge of them for 2/3 of a shortened season. In a normal year we’d just be past the halfway point, and the team has been so much better under Granato that it’s really night and day. They’re also doing what they’re doing without their best player, their number one goaltender, and half of their top defensive paring. Ristolainen is a much better player when McCabe is out there with him.

This joke of a season that probably never should’ve been played is all but over. When you think of how many teams have been screwed by compacted scheduling, leading to key injuries, or long term illness stoppages, almost everyone has been affected. Go ahead and sleep on Buffalo. All they really need is to keep Ullmark, find a capable pack up goaltender, and get Jack Eichel back healthy. If the rest of the team can play like this without Jack they will be a team to be reckoned with next season when he is back. The Move to make is to add the missing piece, not sell off what you already have for pennies on the dollar.

You can’t really blame the last decade of failure on coaching. Buffalo had 47 coaches over that timeframe.

I was not going to comment as there were many that already expressed my thoughts.
While the Sabres played poorly against the Rangers and were smacked down 2 out of 3 by the Bruins, the team is working harder and the prior 11 games they were 6-3-2.
The defense is really young, Miller at 28 is the oldest.
Dahlin, Jokiharju, Samuelsson are 21, Bryson is 23, Borgen is 24, Ristolainen 26 and McCabe is 27.
After Okposo, Skinner is the older forward at 28.
Tukka Rask was a back up at Ullmark's age and UPL will be ready in 2 years.
I am sorry @ErikJohannsen but this team is young, playing well now and has a good future.

Donato has taken Skinner out of the dog house, put him back with Jack and he will produce. Especially not for that. The trades and draft picks are starting to produce. Bryson, Borgen and Samuelsson are playing well enough that someone could be moved soon.
Thompson, Mittelstadt and Asplund have been the best line for weeks.
Ruotsalainen has 4 goals in 10 games.
Improve the special teams (the pk and pp were awful against the rangers).
